Age restrictions for the shared mixed dorms

As a registered “youth hostel”, we are obliged to offer space for students and young travelers, so we provide shared dorms for them. For this reason, families travelling with children under 7 years, and guests over 50 years are required to book private rooms or entire dorms. Feel free to contact the hostel if you have any queries.

Economy/Basic Rooms

These rooms are more economical as they offer basic comfort and are smaller. Here you can find all our Rooms at Barcelona Central Garden.

Groups

Bookings of 6 or more guests must be made directly with the hostel, by email, as different conditions & rates apply for groups.

Bachelor parties are not accepted in the hostel

We offer an intimate and cozy atmosphere so guests can relax after a long day of exploring the city enjoy – We are not a party hostel, so we are unable to accept bachelor parties or hen’s nights.

Families

Families are always very welcome in our hostel – Some of the Superior rooms may have space to set up an extra bed or a cot for babies up to 3 years, however, guests must contact the hostel before booking to find out the price and conditions for this. Also, please contact us if you are travelling with children so that we can find the best way to accommodate your family.

In addition, we have one stroller for children up to 5 years that we are happy to lend to our guests (subject to availability).

Admittance

A Passport or original valid ID is required to check in. City regulations require that we submit our guest’s names to the Police.

The hostel reserves the right to deny entry to any guests which do not adhere to the hostel rules and regulations, or who may pose a potential threat to the hostel security including the staff, the neighbors and/or hostel guests.

Rates and Prices

Rates and prices are subject to change and may vary throughout the year depending on season, length of stay, promotional rates, and/or our availability. However, the price you have reserved online at the time of booking will not vary, and is guaranteed for your booked stay. Special requests

Customers should contact the hostel in advance if they have any special requests. The hostel will do its best to try to accommodate them, but unfortunately this is not always possible as they may depend on other factors, such as availability, minimum stay requirements, etc.

City regulations & respecting others

Customers are required to conduct in a reasonable and responsible manner during their stay, in accordance to city regulations and in order not to disturb the other guests or the neighbors. Drugs and hard alcohols are prohibited in youth hostels by the Generalitat de Catalunya authorities.

Breakfast

Our hostel can’t provide breakfast. But we offer complimentary tea & coffee (free) and guests can prepare their own breakfast in our fully equipped kitchen.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in any indoor areas of the hostel, including the rooms.

Pets

Animals are not allowed in the hostel due to health & safety restrictions.


Terms and Conditions

Standard Rate

A 15% deposit will be charged on the card provided for the booking.

Deposits are non-refundable. Pre paid cards are not accepted to pay these deposit . The remaining 85% balance will be paid in full on the arrival date. For your convenience there is an ATM machine at the corner. Our hostel also accepts card payments of Master Card or Visa, but bank fees may apply.  Other cards are not accepted. The balance must be paid in Euros. We don’t accept other currencies or traveler’s checks

Non-Refundable Rate

The full cost of the stay will be charged soon after booking in order to confirm the reservation. Paid amounts are non-refundable and cannot be credited towards other dates/bookings. Please, note that at your arrival you will have to present the same payment card in order to check-in.

Reservation confirmation

Reservations are not confirmed until the hostel is able to charge the due amounts  to the card provided by the guest. Once the payment has been processed, the hostel will send the guest an email to confirm the reservation. If you don’t receive this email within 24 hours you should contact the hostel to make sure your email address was correct.

Make sure the information you provided is correct as the hostel is not responsible for any errors guests may have made when entering details.  Please read your confirmation email carefully as making changes or corrections is not always possible (they are subject to availability, minimum stay requirements, etc).

When making a booking you accept all of the Terms & Conditions stated for this reservation, including the Cancellation and/or no-show policy.

Credit cards

Businesses are required to verify the card holders’s identity, so guests will be asked to present a valid picture ID along with the card used to book the stay for its verification.

Standard Rates: Credit card used for booking must be still valid on the arrival date in order to secure the reservation. If the credit card expires before the due arrival date, the guest should inform the hostel and send the details of the new card before the first card expires, otherwise the property will not be able to guarantee the space at the hostel. Failure to provide this information may result in the cancellation of the reservation by the hostel and consequently loss of the deposit.

Cancellation Policy

Standard Rate: Cancellations or modifications (such as postponing the arrival date or shortening the stay) can be accepted free of charge only if the hostel is notified by email at least 5 full days before the arrival date .  Changes will be subject to our availability, rates, and minimum stay requirements. Deposits from the number of cancelled nights are non refundable. Unfortunately no exceptions can be made.

No-shows & late cancellations will be charged up to the full cost of the stay to cover the expenses incurred by the hostel.

Non-Refundable Rate: This rate is cheaper but it is not flexible, so bookings cannot be cancelled or modified. Charged amounts are not reimbursable and cannot be used towards other dates / reservations.

Note: In order to avoid misunderstanding, and to make sure that all emails were received correctly, modifications and/or cancellations will be reconfirmed by the hostel via email shortly after receiving the guest’s request. If you do not receive our response within 24 hours, you must contact the hostel again to make sure that your email actually reached the hostel on the first place.

Damages

Hostel facilities must be used in an appropriate manner as guests will be held responsible for any damages caused to the property. Consequently, guests will be charged for the cost imposed on the hostel to replace, or repair the damaged facilities.
